SPARKFEST RESIDENCY

PANEL EVENT WITH Q&A

Panel Event with Q & A
How do we take performance online without losing the “live” performance?

Following on from Neverthere residency’s today, mentors Alan Richardson (Artistic Director, Surge), Sumit Sarkar (Visual Artist) and Barra Collins (Director, Neverthere Festival) reflect on the days activity and the wider questions on how we can retain the ‘live’ in our performance when taking performance work online with the participants of the workshops.

This public event is an ideal opportunity to gain insights and discuss how digital technologies can be harnessed in the making of live performance.

Barra Collins is the Director of Neverthere Festival. Neverthere provides opportunities to explore how digital technologies can be harnessed in the making of live performance.

Sumit Sarkar is a visual artist. Cutting edge technology is at the forefront of Sumit’s practice - recent projects include the use of video mapping, motion capture and virtual reality.

Neverthere emerged in response to the COVID-19 health crisis and is working in three directions: hosting conversations about the future of making performance, organising digital residencies, and providing opportunities for artists to scratch and share new projects.
