NEVERTHERE@

SURGE FESTIVAL

SHOWCASE
SATURDAY 4 JULY, 16:00 (GMT+1)
The inconvenience of a global pandemic has meant new work lovingly made by artists in 2020 has not been seen.

Neverthere and Surge are co-hosting a space, as part of Surge Festival Online, to showcase live extracts of new outdoor work and performances of innovative digital projects that have emerged in response to COVID-19.

This showcase, a mini festival of performance, features live outdoor performance from backyards, beaches and local parks alongside new work harnessing digital technologies. It is a space for artists to share new work and an opportunity for audiences to see how live performance is innovating during this extraordinary time.

This event is part of Moving Out an online symposium for Artists, Performers, Producers, Programmers and Funders working in outdoor arts and events about making art in public spaces during and beyond Covid-19. Speakers include: Nadia Aguir (IN SITU), Angus MacKechnie (Outdoor Arts UK), Werner Schrempf of (La Strada), Alan Richardson (Surge), Wandy Cheng (STEPS).
